Ingredients :
- 250 gm all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon curd
- 1 heaped teaspoon yeast
- 3 tablespoon oil
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon onion seed
- 1/4 cup warm water
How to prepare :
- Dissolve yeast in a warm water,add sugar and leave for 5 minutes.
- Mix all purpose flour,2 tablespoon oil,salt,egg and curd in a bowl.
- Add fermented yeast into flour mixture.
- Knead dough until soft and smooth.
- Place dough in a greased pan and cover it for 3 hours or until the dough has doubled in volume.
- After that preheat the oven at 350 F.
- Knead the dough and divide into 4 equal balls.
- Place balls in a greased bowl and cover it for another 1 hour.
- Heat a flat pan on medium-high heat.
- Press each ball into an oval shape with the help of hand(don't use roller pin).
- Sprinkle onion seeds on top.
- Place naan on preheated pan for 1 minute or until bubbles form.
- Remove from pan and place into an oven at 500 F for 30 sec or until golden.
- Serve naan with paya or your favorite gravy.
