Fish ke kofte


Ingredients:
  • 450 gm Tilapia fish
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup fried onion
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 3 chopped green chilies
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 bunch chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 small size finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoon all purpose flour  
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • salt to taste
Directions:

  1. Heat 3-4 tablespoon oil in a nonstick pan.
  2. Fry fish for about 2 minutes on each side.
  3. Let it cool.
  4. Add finely chopped onion,1/4 garam masala,1/2 teaspoon ginger,green chili,coriander leaves,all purpose flower,corn starch and salt in a bowl.
  5. Mix it well and make into small balls.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
  7. Deep fry balls until brown.
  8. Remove and drain on paper.
  9. Heat 6 tablespoon oil in a pan.
  10. Add ginger-garlic paste,turmeric,red chili powder,garam masala,fried onion,tomato and salt.
  11. Fry for 5-6 mins on low heat or until raw smell is gone.
  12. Now add 1/2 cup water.
  13. Put on the lid and bring it to boil.
  14. Turn off the heat and add fish balls into pan.
  15. Mix it gently and serve.

Murgh Musallam


Ingredients:
For marination-

  • 1 kg whole chicken
  • 150 gm oil 
  • 6 tablespoon curd
  • 3 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seed paste(khas khas)
  • 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon almond paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg and mace powder or paste(jaiphal and jawetri)
  • 1/2 teaspoon green cardamom powder.
  • 1/2 teaspoon saffron or orange food color(optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon chaat masala
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon green chili paste(optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt.
For filling-
  • 2 hard boiled eggs
  • 1 tablespoon resins
  • 1 tablespoon fried cashews
  • 2 tablespoon fried onion 
  • 1/2 cup boiled rice(optional)
  • 1 tablespoon musallam's gravy.(see the directions)
  • Salt to taste.
For gravy-
  • 1 medium size chopped onion.
  • 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste.
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala.
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili.
  • Salt to taste.
Directions:
For marination-
  1. Remove the head and skin from a chicken.
  2. Wash thoroughly and pat dry..
  3. Make cuts on chicken with knife
  4. In a large bowl add all ingredients except oil.
  5. Mix it well.
  6. Marinate chicken in this mixture about 6-8 hours.Over night is best.
For filling-
  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Keep it aside.
For gravy-
  1. Heat oil in a large deep pan.
  2. On medium heat fry marinated chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side.
  3. Remove from the oil and place on a plate.
  4. Stuff with above mixture(egg mixture).
  5. Fry chopped onion to the same pan until golden brown.
  6. Add all ingredients and fry gravy for 4-5 minutes on low heat.
  7. Now add stuffed chicken into gravy.
  8. Put on the lid for 5 minutes on medium heat or till the chicken is soft.
  9. Serve with Zafrani pulao or whatever you like.

Festive Cookies

Kids of all ages love cookies.There are hundreds of different type of cookies and recipes.I tried simple one...these are rolled and piping cookies.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup(240 gm) all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter(at room temperature)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg white
  • Baking tray

Directions:
  1. Beat all purpose flour,salt,baking powder and butter in a bowl.
  2. In an another bowl beat egg white and sugar.
  3. Add beaten egg white to flour mixture.
  4. Make a smooth dough.
  5. Roll out dough on a flat surface 2 cm thick.
  6. Cut into any shapes.
  7. Place cookies on an ungreased pan 1 inch apart.
  8. Cover tightly with plastic wrap or aluminium foil.
  9. Refrigerate for 15 mints.
  10. Preheat oven to 350 F
  11. Remove plastic wrap.
  12. Top with any sprinkle or almond
  13. Bake for about 12-15 mints.


Note:
If you want to make cookies with piping bag,use oil instead of butter.Pour batter into piping/pastry bag.You can make your cookies whatever shape you like.

Purse cupcake topper



Sweet triangle


Ingredients :
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice (1-2 oranges)
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 50 gm unsalted butter(at room temperature)
  • 1 cup crushed honey bunch cereal or corn flakes.
  • Confectioners sugar to sprinkle
Directions :
  1. Preheat oven to 300 F.
  2. Beat all purpose flour,sugar,egg,orange juice,and butter in bowl.
  3. Grease a square shape baking pan.
  4. Pour cornflakes into pan and make a smooth surface.
  5. Pour batter (all purpose) on top of cornflakes.
  6. Bake for 25 mints.
  7. Let it cool for 10 mints.
  8. Sprinkle confectioners sugar and cut into triangle shapes.

Kathal ke kabab (Jackfruit)

Hi friends,
I am back after a long time with new recipe.Last month when  I went to Indian store,saw jackfruit.It is very rare to see these around here.I was so excited to cook and finally can share it with you guys.


Ingredients :
  • 1 small size green young jackfruit.
  • 1 small size chopped onion.
  • 4 green chili finely chopped
  • 2 cloves,1 black cardamom,2 green cardamom.
  • 6-8 whole black pepper.
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh garlic n ginger.
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric.
  • 1/4 tea spoon red chili powder.
  • 1 bunch cilantro - chopped.
  • 3 tablespoon yellow split lentil(Bengal gram).
  • 100 gm oil.
  • 2 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon mango powder(aamchur)
  • 1/2 cup water.
  • Salt to taste.
Directions :
  1. First remove the skin of jackfruit.
  2. Cut into 3 inch small pieces.
  3. Wash thoroughly and heat 3 tablespoon oil in a cooker.
  4. Add jackfruit pieces,water,cloves,both cardamoms,black pepper,Bengal gram and salt.
  5. Put on the lid at medium flame for 10 mints.
  6. If there is water cook until fully absorbed.
  7. Add boiled mixture,onion,green chili,mango powder,lime juice and cilantro in a chopper machine.
  8. Divide mixture into small balls and flatten each ball into a circle.
  9. Add 2-3 tablespoon oil in a frying pan on medium flame.
  10. Fry on both sides until golden brown.
  11. Serve with sliced onion n sauce.

Thai style mashroom


Ingredients:
  • 250 gm sliced mushrooms
  • 200 gm chopped french beans
  • 100 gm green peas
  • 100 gm corn
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • salt to taste
How to prepare:
  1. Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan.
  2. Add mushrooms,french beans,green peas and corn.
  3. Steam over medium-high heat until they are tender.
  4. Add salt and continue to cook until water evaporates.
  5. Heat remaining oil in an another pan.
  6. Add cumin seeds,let it splitter,add ginger-garlic paste.
  7. Stir fry for 2 mints over medium heat.
  8. Add soya sauce,corn starch,red chili flakes,black pepper,lemon juice and salt.
  9. Mix them well,now add cooked mushroom vegetables and 3-4 tablespoon water.
  10. Stir fry for one minute.
  11. Serve with rice.

Strawberries dessert

Fresh picked strawberries drizzled with a whipped cream.Picking your own strawberries from plant (dwarf tree) is a great fun.

Ingredients:

  • 400 gm strawberries
  • 100 gm chopped pineapple
  • 1 cup diced cake(plain,vanilla) 
  • 1 cup whipped heavy cream
How to prepare:
  1. Cut half (200gm) strawberries into 3-4 slices.
  2. Make a bed of pineapple with sliced strawberries in a plate.
  3. Drizzle cream and make another layer of strawberries and pineapple.
  4. Drizzle cream and place diced cake.
  5. Put remaining strawberries on top.
  6. Drizzle cream on top.
  7. Refrigerate for one hour before serving.

Naan



Ingredients :
  • 250 gm all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon curd
  • 1 heaped teaspoon yeast
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon onion seed
  • 1/4 cup warm water
How to prepare :
  1. Dissolve yeast in a warm water,add sugar and leave for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix all purpose flour,2 tablespoon oil,salt,egg and curd in a bowl.
  3. Add fermented yeast into flour mixture.
  4. Knead  dough until soft and smooth.
  5. Place dough in a greased pan and cover it for 3 hours or until the dough has doubled in volume.
  6. After that preheat the oven at 350 F.
  7. Knead the dough and divide into 4 equal balls.
  8. Place balls in a greased bowl and cover it for another 1 hour.
  9. Heat a flat pan on medium-high heat.
  10. Press each ball into an oval shape with the help of hand(don't use roller pin).
  11. Sprinkle onion seeds on top.
  12. Place naan on preheated pan for 1 minute or until bubbles form.
  13. Remove from pan and place into an oven at 500 F for 30 sec or until golden.
  14. Serve naan with paya or your favorite gravy.

Chocolate mousse





Ingredients:
  • 200 gm chocolate
  • 40 gm chilled whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon coffee powder
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 egg
How to prepare :
  1. Mix chocolate,1 tablespoon butter and coffee into a stainless steel bowl.
  2. Set bowl over a pan of simmering water.
  3. Melt chocolate,butter and coffee.
  4. Remove from heat,refrigerate to cool.
  5. Crack egg in a stainless steel bowl,add remaining butter.
  6. Set bowl over a pan of simmering water,continue stirring until smooth.
  7. Remove from heat,set bowl over a pan of chilled water and beat until cool.
  8. Beat chocolate mixture and egg mixture with electric beater until light and fluffy.
  9. Add chilled whipping cream,fold in well.
  10. Pour into cups or glasses.
  11. Serve with fresh strawberries and sprinkle.

Sponge Cake





Ingredients :
  • 150gm all purpose flour
  • 150 gm sugar
  • 100 gm melted chocolate
  • 100 gm chocolate
  • 75 gm melted butter/cooking oil
  • 1/3 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch salt
How to prepare :
  1. Preheat an oven to 350 F.
  2. Separate egg white,add sugar,beat until sugar is dissolved or light fluffy.
  3. Add all purpose flour,salt,baking powder in a bowl.
  4. Mix egg yolk,yogurt and butter in an another bowl.Keep aside mixture.
  5. Alternatively add all purpose flour mixture and egg yolk mixture into the egg white mixture.
  6. Fold mixture until a smooth batter.
  7. Grease 6 inch square baking tray,pour mixture.
  8. Bake for 20 mints.
  9. To check the cake is ready,insert a skewer or knife into the center of cake.
  10. If it comes out clean,cake is ready,if not,bake for another 5 mints.
  11. Let the cake cool for 15 mints.
  12. Cut the cake in half horizontally.
  13. Pour chocolate on bottom part of cake and place other half on top.
  14. Now pour chocolate over the cake.
  15. Add grated chocolate on top.

Laziz Tamatar (Tomatoes)


Baby tomatoes look so tempting and every one would love to eat.There are many different recipes for tomato and comes in various sizes and colors,like oval,round,cherry etc.I am going to use round red color tomatoes.

Ingredients:
  • 250 gm baby size tomato
  • 200 gm cauliflower florets,bite sized pieces
  • 100 gm water
  • 1 handful fried onion
  • 1teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 handful corn
  • 1 handful green peas
  • 1 tablespoon mixture of onion seeds,cumin seeds,mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds and fennel seeds.
  • 4 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
How to prepare:
  1. Heat oil in a pan,add mixture of seeds.
  2. Fry for 30 seconds,add ginger,garlic paste.
  3. Stir fry for 1 minute.
  4. Add salt,turmeric,coriander,red chili powder.
  5. Stir fry for 3 minutes.
  6. Add fried onion,water,corn,peas,cauliflower florets and tomatoes.
  7. Put the lid on the pot and simmer it for 15 mints.
  8. After that,remove the lid and continue heating for 5 minutes.
  9. Serve with bread.

Chicken Masrur


I want to cook something different type of chicken for dinner.So I entered the kitchen and opened the over head cabinet and saw phool makhana then I planned to cook chicken with makhana.When served in a plate it was looking delicious.After preparing chicken I was so happy that's why gave this recipe the name Chicken Masrur.The word Masrur means happy.

Ingredients :
  • 1/2 kg chicken pieces
  • 12 phool makhana
  • 4 cashews
  • 2 tablespoon chili flakes
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 handfull fried onion
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon fenugreek leaves
  • 6 tablespoon butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 yellow,1/4 orange,1/4 red pepper(thinly sliced)
  • salt to taste
How to prepare :
  1. Heat 2 tablespoon butter in a pan.
  2. Add thinly sliced peppers,sprinkle salt.
  3. Saut 2 mints until just tender,keep aside.
  4. In the same pan add 1 tablespoon butter,fry cashews and phool makhana.
  5. Remove in a mixing bowl,add chili flakes,tomato and grind into a smooth paste.
  6. Again in the same pan heat 1 tablespoon butter.
  7. Add chicken and fry for 5 mints.
  8. Remove chicken and in the same pan heat remaining butter.
  9. Add ginger-garlic paste,stir fry for 2-3 mints.
  10. Add makhana paste,fry for 2 mints,then add chicken,salt,fried onion and garam masala.
  11. Cook until chicken is soft.
  12. Turn off the heat,add 1/2 fried pepper and fenugreek leaves,mix well.
  13. Add remaining pepper before serving.

Stuffed Strawberries

Summer snacks.....eye-catching color and an unforgettable taste.Strawberry is a low calorie fruit.Healthy for kids.Kids will go crazy for this treat.

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 pound big size strawberries 
For Filling :
  • 150 gm cheese cream(softened)
  • 200 gm confectioners sugar
  • 50 gm butter(at room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon milk

How to prepare :
  1. Beat sugar,cheese cream,milk and butter well with an electric beater until soft,smooth.
  2. Fill icing into a pastry bag or piping bag,Keep aside.
  3. Wash strawberries and pat dry.
  4. Remove the stem and cut deep X in the tip of each strawberry.
  5. Fill strawberries with prepared pastry cone.
  6. Refrigerate for 4 hours.
  7. You can use melted chocolate or honey syrup or any fruit syrup before serving.

Strawberry flavored shrikhand


Mouthwatering Shrikhand......traditional Indian dessert made with hung yogurt and sugar.There are variety of flavor.To give a nutty flavor you can use crushed almond and cashews.If you want fruits flavor can use chopped fruits whatever  you like.I used strawberry juice to give a great flavor.
One Serving
Ingredients :

  • 250 gm yogurt
  • 150 gm powdered sugar(not granulated)
  • 2 tablespoon strawberry juice
  • Muslin cloth

How to prepare :
  1. Tie yogurt in a muslin cloth.
  2. Hang it overnight in the refrigerator to drain out the whey.
  3. Place drained yogurt in a bowl.
  4. Add sugar and strawberry juice.
  5. Fold/mix gently until combined.
  6. Don't beat or overmix.
  7. Refrigerate for 5 hours.

Shan-e-kabab


There are variety of kabab available in restaurant like Chapli kabab,Doner kabab,Bihari kabab,Minced kabab,Sheekh kabab etc.Today I prepared kabab by using boneless cubed chicken marinated with spices,mint and coriander leaves.I named this as Shan-e-kabab.

Ingredients :
  • 250 gm cubed chicken/mutton
  • 1 medium size chopped onion
  • 2 inch chopped ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 black cardamom,4 green cardamoms,5 cloves,1 inch cinnamon stick OR 2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon raw papaya paste
  • 6 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 2 tablespoon curd
  • A handful of mint leaves
  • A handful of coriander leaves
  • Baking tray or flat pan
  • Salt to taste
How to prepare :
  1. Wash chicken and drain.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Marinade for 6 hours in refrigerator.
  4. Now mince chicken in a food processor.
  5. Divide minced chicken into small balls.
  6. Shape balls into elongated oval.
  7. Line the base of baking tray with aluminium foil.
  8. Place each ball on tray.
  9. Bake kabab for 45 mints at 500 F or until brown.Turn the kabab after every 15 mints.OR
  10. Grease the flat pan on medium heat.
  11. Place kabab and fry until brown.
  12. Serve hot with onion rings and lime.

watermelon lemonade


Watermelon lemonade is a cool,refreshing drink and easy to prepare.Who doesn't love a glass of chilled lemonade on a hot summer day.Drinking chilled lemonade on harsh summer is like a joy of heaven.Let's prepare tandha tandha cool cool....

Ingredients :
  • 3 cup cubed watermelon
  • 100 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup ice cube
  • 1 cup cold water
  • A small handful mint leaves
How to prepare :
  1. Add watermelon and mint into a mixer bowl.
  2. Make a smooth puree.
  3. Add water and pass the puree through sieve.
  4. Pour juice into a glass jar.
  5. Add sugar and lemon juice.
  6. Refrigerate for 15 mints.
  7. Add ice cube before serving.

Swiss roll



Swiss roll is basically a sponge cake spread with jam,cream,butter,soft cheese,chocolate baked in a shallow baking tray.It is delicate to bake and roll.Always sprinkle confectioners sugar to prevent cake from breaking up when it is rolled.

Ingredients:
  • 200 gm all purpose flour
  • 150 gm sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 gm melted butter
  • 200 gm icing cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoon curd
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour
  • 150 gm Confectioners sugar  
How to prepare:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 F for 15 mints.
  2. Mix  all purpose flour,salt,baking powder and corn flour in a bowl.
  3. Beat melted butter,egg yolk,vanilla essence,curd and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
  4. In another bowl beat egg white for 10-15 mints until soft peaks.
  5. Add butter mixture into flour mixture and fold gently.
  6. Now add egg white,continue to fold until the batter is smooth.
  7. Lightly grease 10/7" baking tray with butter or rectangle tray(size depends on you).
  8. OR
  9. Line the base with parchment paper or aluminium foil.
  10. Pour the batter and bake for 12-15 mints.
  11. Meanwhile place the parchment paper on clean surface,sprinkle 50 gm confectioner sugar on paper.
  12. When cake is ready,immediately turn onto the sugar.
  13. Sprinkle 50gm confectioners sugar on top of cake.
  14. Roll the cake up with parchment paper.
  15. Leave for 10 mints.
  16. After 10 mints unroll the cake carefully and leave until cool.
  17. Now spread icing cream over the cake or whatever you want(chocolate,fruits chunks,jelly).
  18. Re-roll the cake without paper.
  19. Refrigerate for 15 mints.
  20. Dust confectioners sugar before cutting.
  21. Cut into 1/2 inch slices and serve.

Dodha sweet

On the occasion of mother's day I am going to make sweet for all sweet mothers.
Dodha barfi is most popular and delicious dessert in North India made out of milk,wheat,desi ghee(clarified butter) and dry fruits.There are some changes in my recipe.I used dry milk powder instead of  whole milk/regular milk or khoya .

Ingredients: 
  • 250 gm unsweetened milk powder
  • 100 gm ghee/oil
  • 150 gm sugar 
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 drops kewra (food essence)
  • 50 gm chopped pistachios
How to prepare:
  1. Heat a pan over low flame.
  2. Add milk powder and roast until light brown.
  3. Mix eggs,sugar,essence,pistachios and ghee in a bowl.
  4. Add this mixture into roasted milk powder.
  5. Stir regularly until ghee leaves the side of the pan.
  6. Place mixture into a plate.
  7. Give shape whatever you want(diamond or square).

Blended strawberry-orange drink (Non alcoholic)







Strawberry is a delicate and eye-catching fruit.It maintain regulation of blood sugar,helpful in certain cancer.Regular intake of strawberries can improve your skin and hair conditions.It is rated as one of the best fruit for skin care and weigh loss.

Ingredients:
  • 8 big size strawberries
  • 200 ml orange juice
  • 3 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup of crushed ice/small ice cubes
  • 2 fresh strawberries for garnish
  • 200 ml soft drinks,sprite or fanta (optional) 
How to prepare:
  1. Wash strawberries,remove the stem and cut into half.
  2. Place strawberries into a mixing bowl and blend together thoroughly.
  3. Pour  blended strawberries into a pitcher.
  4. Add  orange and half lime juice,stir to blend.
  5. Pour into glasses.
  6. Add soft drinks just before serving (optional).
  7. Make one slit into the strawberry and place it on the rim of glass.
  8. Add crushed ice and serve.

Chatpate Aloo with Daal ki Roti


Potato is a kind of vegetable which is called as a king of vegetables.Last to last weekend I ate lentil stuffed puri at one of my friends home. lentil was split yellow lentil (moong) without skin and split black lentil without skin.That was awesome.Same dough I used for plain roti/chapati and cooked dry spicy potatoes.The combination was really great.Lentil stuffed chapati with spicy potatoes....try it.

Ingredients:
For aloo
  • 500 gm boiled potatoes
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 2 tablespoon fried onion
  • 1 teaspoon mixture of fenugreek,cumin,fennel,mustard and onion seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • Salt to taste 
For chapati
  • 250 gm plain flour/all purpose flour
  • 100 gm yellow split lentil(moong daal)
  • 100 gm black split lentil(urad/maas daal)
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 3 green chilies
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion seed
  • salt to taste
How to prepare:
Chatpate aalo

  1. Peel off the skin of the potatoes and cut each potato into 8 pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat.
  3. Add mixture of  fenugreek,cumin,fennel,mustard and onion seeds.
  4. Stir for 1 mint,then add potatoes and turmeric powder.
  5. Stir potatoes for 2-3 mints over high eat.
  6. Add chaat masala,salt and chili flakes.
  7. Turn off the heat.
  8. Add fried onion and black pepper powder.
  9. Mix well.
Chapati/Roti
  1. Soak the lentils for 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Add lentils,garlic cloves,chaat masala and green chilies in a mixing bowl.
  3. Blend it together thoroughly.(Add little bit water if needed).
  4. Mix  plain flour/all purpose flour,salt,oil.onion seeds and salt.
  5. Add the ground lentils into flour mixture.
  6. Knead the dough by hand until the dough  is smooth but tight.
  7. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
  8. Roll out each piece to a medium size dinner plate(size of chapati depends on you).
  9. Heat a pan over medium heat,when the pan start smoking.
  10. Put a chapati on it.
  11. Cook the chapati on both sides until golden.
  12. Sprinkle olive oil before serving (optional).

Mutton Stew


Stew is prepared by cooking solid food in liquids at low temperature.Cooking at low temperature gives a nice flavor to food.Slow cooker is best for making stew.If you don't have slow cooker no problem you can use normal pan or pressure cooker.As I believe whenever cook stew always use whole garam masala not powdered.The whole garam masala enhance the aroma and flavor of food.This is my family recipe.My mother taught me how to prepare.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 kg boned mutton or lamb(2 inch cubed)
  • 400 gm chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoon curd
  • 6 tablespoon oil
  • 1 medium size chopped tomato
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 inch cinnamon stick
  • 4 cloves
  • 4 green cardamom
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorn
  • 3 dried whole red chili
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • salt to taste


How to prepare:
  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker or deep pan.
  2. Add all ingredients in a pan over low heat.
  3. Put the lid on and simmer for half hour or until meat is soft.
  4. Garnish with fried onion.
  5. Serve with paratha or rice.

Chocolate flavor candle cake


Everyone likes candlelight dinner on a special occasion with whom you love most.Here is a new twist on candlelight dinner.The candle would be of cake with chocolate flavor.This cake play a role of dessert after dinner.Have a nice candlelight dinner....

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs 
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 100 gm pineapple chunks
  • 150 gm pink frosting (you can use any color)



How to prepare:
  1. Mix all purpose flour,salt,baking powder together.
  2. Crack egg into a bowl,add sugar vanilla essence and oil,mix it well until sugar dissolved.
  3. Then add into flour mixture,whisk it until the mixture is light.
  4. Pour into a round shape glass (conventional oven save)
  5. Place glass into preheated oven.
  6. Bake at 350 F for 40 mints.
  7. Before removing glass,insert wooden skewer into cake center.
  8. If it comes out clean,cake is ready.
  9. Let it cool down for 30 mints.
  10. Gently scoop out a 3 inch hole from the cake.
  11. With the help of scooped out cake,make a flame shape for candle cake,set it aside.
  12. Fill the cake with pineapple chunks.
  13. Place flame shape on top of the cake
  14. Warm frosting in microwave for 15 sec.
  15. Drizzle warm frosting over cake.
  16. Sprinkle grated chocolate on top.
